Well , I hope this is okay here, as it refers to one of my servers with another ISP ): This is temporary , as soon as I can I will be cancelling it and moving the services from it to a new server with SB, to go with my existing SB (-;

My current server has no reverse dns set up on the IPs it uses. I won't pretend to understand how RDNS works properly , but as I understand it , does not my ISP have to set this up for the IP address(es) they have provided me ? If so , how should this work please?

The hosting provider will most likely have to set it up for you. The only exception to this is providers that delegate reverse DNS zones to the customer, which is a really bad idea. You'll need to check with them on the exact procedure to get the reverse DNS updated.

Cheers knightfoo , that's what I thought. Either they are ignorant of how it should be done , or just can't be bothered to help. Either way not good. Sooner I move the better then ! Thanks for going beyond the call of duty and giving support for another provider - impressed !!!
