Let's say I have a few servers with serverbeach. Some are in one datacenter, some are in another. (Which is in fact the case).

I'm currently using my own NS - like ns1.quality-web-hosting.net, ns2.quality-web-hosting.net, and on another ns1 and ns2.bluefind.com

When issuing new account info, some customers ignore the email which tells them what ns to use. For example, a customer assigned to server2 (ns1.bluefind.com) mistakenly uses the server1 ns (ns1.quality-web-hosting.net).

To avoid confusion, I'm thinking of not using my own ns on any additional servers.

If I do this, I just give the customers and n1.geodns.net n2.geodns.net, right?

And that works no matter which datacenter the server is in?

Correct:

Authoritative nameservers - these are what you use when registering domains to use with the MyServerBeach DNS Tool. These should *never* be configured as resolvers (see above). The authoritative nameservers are the same for both datacenters (SAT and VA).

66.139.72.14 (ns1.geodns.net)
66.139.72.20 (ns2.geodns.net)

However, you'll have to do all the DNS changes yourself through MyServerBeach.

I've never done anything in MyServerBeach that's related to DNS....

I'm lost... Where's my server-admin? :)

Your admin has access to your MyServerBeach?

Of course. He's my right hand man. :)

I just don't understand things very well. Right now, I never need to log into my serverbeach, except to see the invoices.

I create an account in WHM, and send the account info to customer, and it's all done.

But if I used n1.geodns.net and n2.geodns.net, I would have to log into myserverbeach every time I added an account?

Yep, and everytime they (customers) want to change their DNS records. I notice you keep typing n1 and n2..make sure you have ns1 and ns2 for the GeoDNS servers. :)
