Does SB have any plans to support anything but Debian 'Stable'? I could take our server to 'Testing' and lose my ability to send trouble tickets, but that doesn't seem like a good idea.

Stable is certainly stable, but it's a real pain when your development environment has more modern versions of the software you plan to run. Deploying Ruby and Java in particular is heartbreaking on Stable.

'Testing' is a good compromise between 'Stable' and 'Unstable'. It's a toss-up whether it is worse to support people who have borked their dpkg database vs. people who have borked their system trying to work around a stale repository.

I don't think a Debian user has ever submitted a trouble ticket regarding their OS, and there really isn't much trouble you can get yourself into by moving to the "testing" branch of Debian. Worst case, you change your sources.list back to "stable", remove the broken packages, then reinstall the stable packages.
