RPC Patch and Windows

Dear SB Windows Customers,

Our standard Windows 2000 and 2003 installations have been updated with the RPC patch.

We strongly recommend that all Windows customers run Windows Update to patch current servers.

We apoligize for the inconvenience, but given the severity of the recent exploits and expected additional risk, we decided to take a more conservative approach (some of our more careless competitors have suffered hours of complete network downtime).

If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to open a customer service ticket (a free ticket).

Thanks for the forum and the patch updates. I will suggest sending these (patch update notices) on email to your clients. I have some servers with other companies and an email notification of such issues is highly appreciated. This will help many to bring their servers to latest patch in timely fashion and moreover the email notification method is being adopted by many other companies.

Since we are getting new offers and updates from "Big Kahuna" which are highly welcomed emails, similarly security and patch updates from SB staff will be a welcome.
