Cant create database!!

I am running ensim on a linux box and when I log into phpadmin for mysql and try and create a database with the form on the front page it gives me this error:

SQL-query :

CREATE DATABASE `xoops`

MySQL said:


Can't create database 'xoops'. (errno: 13)

I really dont know much about this and a quick pointer in the right direction would help alot! thanks!
