windows messenger service

hi, nearly everytime i log in to my server with remote desktop, i have a ton of messenger service popups... they look just like message boxes and they look like a ton of spam messages... how do i block these or get rid of them?

it's only on my web server.

If you are getting those then you probably don't have a firewall set up. Would be a good idea to get one (but don't block your Remote Desktop ports).

But, you can turn off the Messenger service from the Services thingy in Administration.

Go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services

Right click on Messenger and disable it.
