Me too.

The problem with these block lists is that anyone that has an axe to grind with an ISP can easily have an entire hosting company blocked. No trial. No jury.

I spent about a week to get my IP Un-banned from a bunch of lists.

The previous owner of my IP was most likely a spammer, got caught, and then kicked off the beach. Then they handed over the IP to me.

I just wish there was an easier way, but really, there isn’t. My IP is clean now. I've only had problems sending mail to a couple people.

When I check to see if I’m on any other lists, I get the occasional crap from Google Groups saying my IP's in there. But that's before I owned the server so there's really nothing I can do about it.

It would be cool if SB would check the IP's on some lists before they give it out. Ehhh, maybe down the road when SB gets bigger, it would be hard to do that for every IP.

Resellers sell their hosting services without checking whatsoever what the authenticity of the customer is. What their intended purpose is, track what they are doing, if the IP is being used for malicious purposes, what sort of website it is.

Probably not a thing SB can do anything about, but general awareness is required here. My reseller from SB is not taking action, so i had to post it. First SPEWS, now to deal with this.

I'm aching. :D

By posting it here in the forums, you will get no action taken. Noone from ServerBeach support or ServerBeach abuse keep an eye on these forums. Perhaps you should send an email to abuse@serverbeach.com and get the ball rolling for you.
Also, since your reseller is doing nothing about the issue...I sure hope if other problems arise, they at least handle those for you.

Is that a sarcastic tone ?
If not, its a pity, because im getting zero support for other issues also. It sucks.

And these blocklists after 1 year will be unusable, because 90% of IP addresses will be listed.

Is better to tell to anyone not to use this idiot blocklists then fighting everyday with them or with ServerBeach.

You're right. Some ISPs (mine anyways) have gone away from the blacklist style filtering and have instead just kept to the basic virus scanning for the obvious things and let the user have free software to take on spam.

Filtering spam would be so much easier if html was banned from email forever. Nothing makes me more pissy than receiving an email with a four word sentence that takes up 38k.
