I figuired I'd make a thread for SB newbies to post.
Here I am! :D
After reading through some of the threads, you all seem pretty cool.
I ordered my server earlier today, and I can't wait to play with it.

Well I got a call from Roger today, then "the email" came, downloaded RDP, setup the DNS for my server, uploaded a game server, and I am set! :D
Now I just need to learn ASP, I already know Visual Basic.
So GameBuzz.net (future home to my own version GameSpy software) and maybe a game server or two is off to a good start. :)
Thank you guys, I'm happy so far. Let's see how we do.

Learn Visual C++, darko. I'm not knocking you or anything, but you'll get much greater performance out of VC++ than VB.
Plus, if you know C, ASP is really easy to pickup.

I have not posted anything in a long time. So this is a good place for me to start. I have a question about this thread.
At the end of April I will have had my first server for 1 year and my second server for 6 months, both are linux. Any time I have to work on my server I feel like a nOObie.
So how long or what does it take to not be a nOObie?????
