Red Hat question - not SB related

First off, I am a total Linux newb.

I have a RH9 server at home that I put up a while ago and have never done much with. I have changed the monitor that I am using on it and am now getting a garbage screen when booting to KDE desktop.

I previously had a Digitial 17" monitor...now I have an NEC 4FGe 15". Everything looks fine until it goes to graphic mode for the login.

How do I change the configuration so the video isn't screwed?

You'll need to change the VertRefresh and HorizSync in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to match the new monitor.

The specs can be found in the documentation for the monitor or Google. :)
