Hi there,

I am new to SB. Got my RH7.3 server with Ensim up and running. I use SB DNS as my primary DNS for my domain bidbridge.com and all subdomains (included mail.bidbridge.com). MX record also config. in DNS Tools. Here is my problem.

If the email sent from outside network, it will be delayed to delieve to user mailbox. Email will be delayed at least 5 hours. Some of them were lost too. This problem wasn't happened if the email sent from my mail server via SquirrelMail.

I am new to Linux world. Hoped someone can help me.

the problem with trying to troubleshoot e-mail is that there are two points to look at and then everything in between. you usually don't have control over both the source and destination, so that makes it harder.

to help you, it's difficult because i know where the destination is, but i don't know anything about the sender's system.

however, in general, you need to fix your dns record for your reverse pointer for your mx record.

you can and should check your dns settings. you can go to http://www.dnsreport.com to get a good idea of what's wrong and what's right. you can ignore most all the warnings and the entire mail category usually.

hopefully that helps, but can't help without more details.
