network problems?

My server no longer seems to be serving http. I sshed in and did a apachectl restart. but still no pages are being served, is there currently a network issue that would cause this?

If it was a network issue - you woulnd't be able to connect at all. ;) The network doesn't know what type of traffic it is. Sounds like you've probably got a software problem with Apache.
