I am the guy trying to get x11 envirment to forward to an ssh client using -- in my case xwin32 but any will work if the server is set to forward I preseume. My question if anyone has an answer is how to I config the server. x11 forwaring is refused when I try and I must assume this is a secruity measure of default..

The whole problem stems from the fact that the X Window System (x11) is not on the server.

Is there no baby x in there anywhere??? Just kidding.. sort of.. it seems like there is s need for a basic x that adds functionality without the full on Gnome or KDE envirs...

A command line (SSH) can do far more than Gnome/KDE ever will, with regards to managing services (since they have no GUI).

But, I'd say that Webmin covers all your needs. If nothing else, then the file manager alone is worth installing Webmin.
