Just wondering who all was affected by Ivan. I live in Montgomery, AL and it hit us pretty hard. I am one of the lucky ones here who never lost power or water (lost Cable and Internet though), but others lost everything.
I hope all is well where everyone is.

Hello,
Friends parents live in pcola, their boat went thru the bedroom and the rest of the house looked like WW3. As for here in columbus GA it wasn't that bad at all but we were very lucky indeed.

Here in Pennsylvania we had major flooding.
Lastnight was unbelievable. Roads were closed all over the place including main arteries like the PA Turnpike and Route 79. All three of the main TV stations cancelled all programs and just covered flooding all evening. Certain parts of the Pittsburgh area received up to nine inches of rain yesterday.
We will be floating around all weekend until this water subsides.
None of my family had problems we all live at higher elevations.
Here are some pictures. There are four pictures from Cranberry, the town I live in.

It is crazy how the storm broke like it did. In like a day, parts were as high as upstate NY. Some places here in Montgomery, AL looked like those in the images, but we have a lot of hills in the city so all the rain gets trapped by drainage (which is very good here in the city). Now it looks like we have power problems. We have alot of the city without power, cable, or phone.

I have a lot of family in Florida, right near the point of impact. Thankfully no one was hurt and the biggest problem they faced was not having electricity for about a week. The coast itself got hit pretty hard, some areas losing almost all of their beaches. One of the marinas down there had 4 floating concrete docks and the storm surge lifted them off their pilings, which caused them to crush all the boats that were tied to them. Amazingly the Tiki Hut at the same marina survived unscathed. :D Freaky weather ..
