I used cPanel a few years ago and have been using Plesk for the last year. I'm now considering switching back to cPanel, but there are a few things I didn't like from before that I hope have been changed.

cPanel used to require email users to log in with the username "user@domain.com" instead of just "user", while plesk (using Courier, I think) made it so that the unique username/password combination determined which mailbox you wanted. That made it so that users didn't have to tag the "@their.domain" on the end when logging in to webmail or POP3.

How does cPanel do it now?

Also, does cPanel support IMAP, and are there any current bugs to watch out for? (Previously, there were problems with things like bandwidth reporting and the like.)

Last, what are people's opinions about the various control panel suites available? My biggest concern is configurability.

Thoughts?

I've been happy with CPanel.... although users do need to login to email accounts with the @domainname.com.
