Hey,

I was a good citizen and backed up my BBS databases and file structure but I never thought I'd need to backup /bin, /usr/bin and /usr/local/psa/*. Today I tried to enter my Plesk admin panel (bear with me, this isn't a plesk problem) and my server wasn't responding on port 8443. So I checked the httpsd.conf file and the listening port was set to 8443. So I decided to make sure the php.ini file was ok and it wasn't there (/usr/local/psa/admin/conf). I do have a php.ini file in ./ect but that's not the correct file for Plesk/Apache.

So I thought, why not, and went to do a reboot to see if psa would recreate the missing file upon restart. Problem is, when I "sync;sync;sync;init 6" I'm told that there is no init file. Now I just used this on Friday night so I know it was there before. I could not find init in /bin, /usr/bin or /usr/sbin. I also wanted to check my path and the path command doesn't work either. So now I'm very concerned.

I've opened a support ticket but what happened here? My websites are running fine but forget running phpmyadmin or adding/removing domains. This isn't good. any ideas?

sigh...I don't have fsck either in /usr/sbin.
