I would really like to know the answer to this too. Has anyone do it yet?

Not directly. Installing it by itself will not mess anything up. The problem comes when you try to modify any file that cPanel modifies. If you do this, then your changes will either be lost and overwritten by cPanel or the changes will leave the file in a state where cPanel can no longer operate. If you're careful about what you modify, then you shouldn't have any problems. :)

This makes since. I don't think I need to use webmin to actually make hosting changes, but rather run some backups etc...Webmin seems to give you more control over the box than the WHM panel. There are alot of function Webmin can do and show you that WHM just doesn't have. So I am hoping those feature I need to access using Webmin, won't over write or change those in CPanel / WHM. However...I am not willing to try this on this server. It's running really good and I don't want to ruin it. I think I will ask around over as Cpanel.net and see what kind of trouble I can stir up. Thanks QT!

You might find that cPanel backups are quite good for backing up and restoring a cPanel server. The only thing you have to worry about backing up is stuff that is not controlled by cPanel. Just letting you know so you don't end up making twice the work for yourself.

The only thing I see that I can't figure out is I want to "Ignore" certain folders.

Like I want to backup everything in the

home/mrplc

folder..

except

home/mrplc/files

I don't see that Cpanel nor, WHM has that feature in the default backup tools.
