My server IP: 66.139.76.21 stopped responding after some intensive database manipulation. While still logged in via SSH I issued the reboot command. The server went down for the reboot but never came back up.

I thought RAPID REBOOT would reboot and unresponsive server but it appears that I was wrong now and that if the kernel is not responsive the server will not reboot.

After 2 hours RAPID REBOOT still says "reboot initiated".

So I've logged a reboot ticket asking SB to please reboot my server and I've explained the situation.

I think the RAPID REBOOT option gives people a sense of false security. If your server is not responding that feature is most likely useless most of the time. SB says that you should only use the option as a last ditch effort to bring your server back online.

I hope SB staff catch this post.
