My C drive is not reporting free space correctly.

When I select all files in explorer and select properties it shows that they only consume about 5.6 Gig. But when I check the free space it shows that only 2.25GB are free. It should show at least 73GB free.

Are there any hidden files that I cannt see through TS. (I have set the explorer properties to show system and hidden files)

THanks
Kirk

What do you get when you view properties on drive C? This should show you a graph of your hard drive usage.

right-click->Properties on the 'C:\' drive

Or use your disk manager (administrator tools in CP) to see what the tally is.

It shows that Used space = 74 GB and Free Space = 1.93 GB

Well then I'd be guessing that you've got something chewing up your free disk space.

Grab something like one of these, you only need to use it once so grab one of the free trial ones ;)

It'll show you where the disk space is being used up.

My guess is an application logging anything and everything it feels like and creating a mass of log files... either that or a user on your machine has uploaded a mass of files to their FTP account...
