Hi all

When I access my server through remote desktop connection I can't bring up any internet sites other than what is on the server.

I also can't FTP to the server.

Any ideas what I can do?

Thanks

Stewart

:furious:

This was due to windows firewall being enabled.

Don't you just love what microsoft does to you when they update your server.

What exactly did Microsoft do? And before you answer, keep in mind that Windows' firewall doesn't magically activate itself, you need to manually activate it during an upgrade.

The ICF doesn't block outgoing connections. So, I don't see how that would have stopped you from accessing external websites from the server.

Kyle

It wasn't Microsoft. But I recently did update the server and since that update Sygate has caused problems for.

Tech Support reported this:

The Sygate firewall settings were keeping you from seeing other websites as well as blocking FTP. I stopped the Sygate process in services.msc. You will want to reconfigure the firewall rules. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Any idea how I can reconfigure the firewall rules? When I try to open sygate it will not open.

Thanks

I'm going to guess it was SP1 that caused this. You'll have to check with Sygate for a compatibility update.

I just installed Windows Server 2003 SP1 without a hitch on my system running Keiro 2.0.0 Beta 4 Build 406. :applaud:

Note, my system is not currenly in production, so I can't make any representations on stability.

I understand from reading the Kerio site, that KSF only works with SP1 for versions 1.1.1 and higher.

If you Google SP1 you will find a few cautions out there, read up.
