Hello,
Can anyone tell me if it's a problem to add a Windows 2003 server from ServerBeach to a Windows Domain? Currently it's setup in a Workgroup but I'd like to add it to our domain so that the server will inherit our GPO's / groups / accounts for management and maintenance purposes.
Any guidance or help would be appreciated!
Thx,
Gaylen

You'll probaby want to look into setting up an IPSEC tunnel between the machines. Once that is up and running it can be done.

Yea - I know how to do it, I was just wondering if ServerBeach has any problems with me doing it and if others out there have done it before?

You'll need to set up a VPN, but Active Directory in itself is no problem. There are plenty of people running AD here, but I think it's safe to say they don't frequent the forums. :)

Well - I thought I knew how to do this but I guess I don't. I thought the best way to go would be to use an RRAS Dial on Demand interface on the hosted server to connect with my RRAS Dial on Demand interface on my LAN. I had them connecting at one point, not anymore for some reason, but I couldn't ping or reach the hosted server from the LAN.
All I want to do is keep a connection alive between the hosted server and my corpnet. This shouldn't be that hard right?

I finally was able to figure this out. It was over engineering this solution I think. It was done in RRAS using a custom configuration.
