MailEnable POP service randomly stopping

Hi,

For some reason the MailEnable POP service on our server keeps stopping which is causes our clients to not be able to receive emails

I have to open the Plesk Services monitor and restart it which solves it, but I have not idea what it causing the service to stop in the first place


Has anyone else run into this?

I ran into this same issue a few months ago - couldn't explain it. I loaded a few hotfixes that MailEnable recommended - but the problem remained. The server that was having the issue was slated for de-commission in a few months so I just set the service to restart in the service manager and called it a day.

Set the service to restart on fail and you shouldn't have to manually restart it anymore.

I'd also look into patching your mail server. Many ME exploits start off with the service unexpectedly crashing. You could very likely already be compromised.
