Where is the Secound HD?

Ive got my server (Dual Opteron 265-2) 2 days ago and now I looking at the server with more calm now and dont see the Secound HD.

Is the RAID1 working? Thats why he dont show up?

Did you ask for Raid 1? I don't think SB offers Raid 1 on windows servers but I could be wrong.

Normally your second drive is not mounted/formated and is just sitting there waiting for you. Have you gone to "Start -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Managment" and looked?

You should see Disk 0 and Disk 1, right click on Disk 1 and create a partition and format it with NTFS. (WARNING: DOING THIS ERASES ALL DATA SO MAKE SURE YOU DO IT ON THE CORRECT DRIVE)

SB do not offer RAID1 on windows servers but a friend whos helping me said windows it self can do that. RAID1 tru windows server software.

I know windows use to but I've not done it in a long long time so I couldn't tell you the steps but it will be somewhere in the Disk Manager.

If your trying to do Raid 1 in Windows there is no point in following my steps to partition and format the drive as the steps for Raid 1 will be different.

But if you just want it as a secont drive make it a primary partition.

Yes, Windows can do it. Convert both your disks to dynamic disks and configure the second as a mirror of the first in disk management.
