Kinda makes you wonder if they threw it in there to be funny or if they really have customers who are that stupid. Actually .. no. They most likely have customers who are really that stupid. This ranks right up there with people who dont know what an asterisk is and/or can't find it on their keyboard.

I once had a keyboard with the "ctrl", "alt", and "del" keys removed then epoxied to the upper right edge of the keyboard. Kept the Windows users in the office from stealing it. ;)

No excuse! That is like saying it is OK to learn programming by starting off with Visual Basic. ;)

<rant>I think everyone should go through the pain of 2400bps text-based Internet access for at least 6 months before they're allowed to use a GUI.</rant>

LOL. That's too funny. :D

I had a customer tell me their email wasn't working. After talking to him a while, he was trying to access his email by attempting to log into yahoo with the user name he was given when he signed up for hosting.

LOL. I got a ton of those. One client signed up for hosting and came back a couple days later asking why his site wasn't done. He thought a website was included in the hosting.

At my old support job at a dial-up ISP I had a customer who insisted his e-mail password was correct but he still couldn't get his e-mail. After capturing the password that he was sending to the POP server I discovered he was sending "******" as his password. Apparently he switched e-mail clients and figured he could copy and paste the password field from one to the other.

Then there was someone who couldn't type his password if he could not see what he was typing. It was so bad that we had to set his password to "123456" just so he could log in. He couldn't even type his name without being able to see the letters come up on the screen.
