Fqdn.....?

I have 2 servers currently. In the setup process it asks for a Fully Qualified Domain Name, FQDN, and I have for the first one:

my.geekjam.com

and for the second one

debian.geekjam.com


I am worried that I really did something wrong.
Am I screwed, or does that subdomain (my, or debian) make it unique, so in serverbeach DNS I can use geekjam.com for both?


It says you should put something like server1.domain.com
so I am guessing that you can also have server2.domain.com and server3.domain.com

Am I right, or am I in a world of trouble for using geekjam.com for both?

It doesn't matter what you use as long as they're unique. So by using my.geekjam.com and debian.geekjam.com, you're just fine. :)

The only thing that matters is if you're sending mail from your server and the servername doesn't resolve in DNS..the mail will bounce.
