Add standard "Explorer" view to CloudOne via Firefox plugin

Looking for a simple way to transfer files to your CloudOne Storage solution? If you're running the Firefox browser you can install AtmosFox. This simple-to-use plug-in will give you the familiar Explorer view of your local drive and your CloudOne storage space, allowing you to move files quickly and easily between the two.

Two items of note, though: First off, this is free software provided by a third party, so it's not directly supported by the Beach.
(We've tested it, though, and found no errors.) Second, due to Firefox's memory settings for plugins, you may be limited to files of
    1Gb in size or less.

If you need some help installing AtmosFox, we've created a short video to help with installation.

    Happy Cloud-hopping!

If you don't want to go watch the video, here's some step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring AtmosFox

    1. Download the atmosfox.xpi file from http://www.suchisoft.com/atmosfox/AtmosFox.xpi
    2. Drag-and-drop the file into an active Firefox window.
    3. After the installation, you will be prompted to restart Firefox.
    4. Under the Tools menu, click "AtmosFox Explorer".
    5. Close the "Manage Accounts" window that pops up.
    6. Click "Preferences".
    7. Enter the end URL for CloudOne Storage (https://cloudonestorage.peer1.com) and click "OK".
    8. Click "Manage Accounts".
    9. Set the NickName to something memorable for you.
    10. Input your Access Token (This should be in your welcome letter, listed as "Subtenant ID").
    11. Enter your Secret Key (This is also in your welcome letter, listed as "Shared Secret (Password)").
    12. Click "Add". This should store your information under "Existing Account Information".
    13. Click "Close".

You should now be able to navigate through your local machine on the left and your CloudOne storage repository on the right and transfer files from one to the other.

    CloudOne via Ubuntu?

Is there a way to access the CloudOne storage via Ubuntu? I have found a REST protocol application (xcloud) that may work but am having issues getting connected to CloudOne. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks

    AtmosFox.xpi incompatible???

I downloaded http://www.suchisoft.com/atmosfox/AtmosFox.xpi to my desktop and opened FireFox. I dragged AtmosFox.xpi to an active window in FireFox. FireFox gives an error message that AtmosFox.xpi is not compatible with the current version of FireFox (I just downloaded and installed FireFox). Both are totally updated.

I did this in both Windows Server 2003 and Windows 7 (32 bit) with the same result. Help is appreciated.

Thank you. BTW the volume on the install video is so quiet I can't hear it with my audio turned all the way up.

    Gladinet Solution

One of the Server Beach techs suggested Gladinet. Very smooth install and works very, very well. I access the cloud through Windows Explorer as well a backup program (Genie). First time I needed to restore it all worked perfectly.

Gladinet has several other functions that may be useful to others such as a common backup folder that backs up anything in a specific (configured) folder from several computers automatically. I don't use it but sounded like a useful idea for some.
