    Upgrade to FC14

    My shiny new FC13 servers were made available to me today by SB. What's the first thing I did? Upgrade to FC14, of course!

    Fedora provides a tool called PreUpgrade, which makes upgrading fairly easy.

    I used the remote upgrade option with VNC so I could keep an eye on it while the machine was in a "limbo" state and then about 15 minutes later, I was up and running on Fedora Core 14:

    Code:
    $ cat /etc/redhat-release
    Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)

    FC15 was released back in May. I just ordered a Fedora server through ServerBeach and got FC13. The first thing I did was update to FC14, and then to FC15.

    I imagine those running Red Hat or CentOS prefer to say with older/stable distros. Those running Fedora are likely selecting it specifically to run newer packages.

    When it comes to web servers, I want to have the latest security patches and bug fixes right away.
