On Thursday, October 20, 2011 starting at 17:00 CT and ending at 05:00 on Friday morning, October 21, 2011, we will have contractors on site performing maintenance on the Battery Backup System for UPS-2 in the SAT5 Data Center. This work is to replace specific cells that are approaching their end-of-life, as well as to perform visual inspections on key parts of the power system.

This is routine work in our data center and we will be running our diesel generator during the event to ensure we have constant power available to your services. While we do not expect any problems during this evolution, in the event there is a disruption to the power we will cease all work and transfer the UPS back on to utility power. ServerBeach staff will be on site working closely with the contractors to ensure we are able to quickly recover from any issues that may arise.
